Description
While scouting for the blooms of the Prickly Pear Cacti, I came across this vernal pool on top of Little Rock, the granite outcrop just west of Enchanted Rock. I used the small pool to capture the reflection of the clouds as the sun set in the west. I called this Texas image "zen pools" because it reminded me of the pools high in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado that are just as fragile and special.
